The internet has made the business world turn upside down. That is, the business world is reaching new heights. Fifty years ago people never would have dreamed of the forms of communications that are available to organizations now. One part of using the internet that has influenced a great change in the way businesses operate is blogging. Now, through blogging, a businesses can communicate to a much larger audience. Business and organizations can advertise their products or services to millions with the click of a button. They can also communicate internally with blogs. Different operations within a company can update status on projects to managers and other organizations. The spread of information about new products is like a wildfire that can't be controlled. Blogging is a great way of giving a preview to the world of a new product or service that is going to come available soon. Blogs are also a great way to get feedback from the public. If you have a situation where you want input from consumers, or just the community in general, you can use a blog. It is so amazing how much the business world has changed just in the past few years. Instead of being complimentary, internet access to companies is not a necessity. Customers want live feed of what is going on in the businesses they are spending money and want to make sure they are getting the best deals. Electronic savvy businesses are more appealing than those that are not because they appear more on top of things and are more professional.
ReplyDeleteAs far as I know blogs are open to the public to read. I wonder if there is anyway to make them private on a server (I am sure there is). After reading your post I came across this sentence: "They can also communicate internally with blogs. Different operations within a company can update status on projects to managers and other organizations." and I started wondering if a company really wants to blog between departments. The reason being that most of the information to be shared is private and confidential. A blog could be a very good tool to communicate within a company but the company has to make sure that the communication is private and kept away from the public.
